Nestled on a private 5+ acre lot, this home underwent a complete exterior and insulation retrofit. The roof was stripped back to the rafters and a hybrid combination of open and closed cell polyurethane foam brought this home up to an R52 spec. The complete exterior was stripped and treated with Benjamin Obdyke self adhered house wrap. New construction Marvin Ultimate windows were installed and custom arched windows were replicated to fit the existing openings. New Azek trim details and red cedar shingles were installed as the primary facade. The roof eaves were extended to accept gutters on the upper level shed dormer. All remaining gable eaves were extended to give the home some depth. Standing seam copper details were added on the low pitch upper dormer roof and the front bay window roof. Half round copper gutters and rain cups were installed as the finishing touches for water management.
